What Does It Mean To Be Italian?

To be Italian is to be sensual.

It is to intimately taste the wine, the sauce, and the ripe olives, as well as the color of the sky, the curve of the coast, and the fragrance of the
air, the skill of the sculptor, and the eye and soul of the painter.

To be Italian is to feel the pain of humanity, the innocence of a child, the loyalty of a dog. It means to take care of your family first but to help anyone in need when you can. It means to belong to a gene pool influenced by some of the most interesting cultures of history. And lastly, to be Italian to eat the very best food in the world.

Because of a wide-ranging and long-lasting diaspora, over 70 million people of Italian or part Italian ancestry live outside of Italy. Nearly two-thirds of Italian descendants live in South America (primarily Brazil and Argentina). About 20 million live in North America. In the Americas, most descendants’ origins go ba…ck several generations and they have assimilated into their respective national identities.

Negroni’s Authentico Italiano selection includes:

Prosciutto Cotto – a traditional Italian cooked ham made in Italy using selected pork shanks and natural flavorings and is lighter in color and sweeter in flavor than Prosciutto Arrosto.

Mortadella
– a traditional Italian cooked specialty made in Italy based on a 500 year old recipe from the province of Emilia Romagna.

Prosciutto di Parma – the most renowned dry-cured Italian ham, made with the best Italian pork legs, packed in a strictly defined region around Parma, Italy. Parma is a beautiful Italian city known for its monuments, castles, opera and haute cuisine!
