Bellisimo – Negroni Prosciutto Tortellini Our Family Favorite, No Lie!

Negroni Prosciutto Tortellini is what our family likes to have already made after coming home from a late night at the Opera, visiting with family or after sporting events. Serve this Italian dish to guests and wait for the compliments to pour in.

Tortellini is a ring-shaped pasta.  They are typically stuffed with a mix of prosciutto. Originally from the Italian region of Emilia  (in particular Bologna and Modena)  they are usually served in broth, with cream, or sometimes with a ragu.

Packed, refrigerated or frozen tortellini and tortelloni (similar but larger and with vegetable stuff) appear in many locations around the world, especially where Italian communities have a certain relief. Tortellini and tortelloni are made in special industrial lines supplied, all over the world.

Ingredients
1 pkg. (19oz.) cheese tortellini
1T. all purpose flour
1c. half and half cream
1/2c. Shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2c. Shredded parmesan cheese
10 thin slices Negroni prosciutto, chopped

Directions
Cook tortellini according to package directions.

Meanwhile, in large skillet, combine flour, and cream until smooth: stir in the cheeses. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 mins. Or until thickened. Reduce heat.

Drain tortellini; add to cheese sauce. Stir in the Negroni prosciutto.
Cook 5 mins. untill heated thru.
